The department will consider applications from BS/PharmD students to the Biological Sciences Honors Research program on a case-by-case basis. Students interested in applying to this program must have a minimum GPA of 3.600 and will have to complete the program in their second and third years. Students enrolled in the PharmD curriculum are eligible to receive Latin Honors based on their cumulative professional GPA on the following scale:
- 3.200-3.490: Cum Laude
- 3.500-3.740: Magna Cum Laude
- 3.750-4.000: Summa Cum Laude
The Rho Chi Honor Society is a national pharmacy honor society. On the basis of their academic standing (top 20% of their class), students may be invited to membership in their second professional (P2) year. A major purpose of Rho Chi is to promote high scholarship in pharmacy.
