The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences enables students to increase the breadth of their undergraduate experience, combine courses from various departments within the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and focus their undergraduate experience in preparation for professional studies.
The doctor of pharmacy degree (PharmD) is a professional degree that enables one to work as a pharmacist, interacting with patients and other health care practitioners about medications.
The BS/PharmD program combines three years of undergraduate study in biomedical sciences and four years of graduate work in pharmacy. A combined BS/PharmD degree is awarded after seven years. Application to the doctoral program is made following the second year at UB.
