Data Intensive Computing Certificate - Program Requirements

Students must maintain a minimum of 2.500 GPA average in the required and elective courses in order to remain in the program and be awarded the certificate.

Students should consult with an academic advisor about how to best incorporate a certificate into their program of study.

Equivalent transfer courses are acceptable for the program's prerequisite courses.

CSE 115 Introduction to Computer Science I
CSE 116 Introduction to Computer Science II

CSE 250 Data Structures and Algorithms, or equivalent
CSE 486 Distributed Systems
CSE 487 Data Intensive Computing
Any 300 or 400 level course with data intensive content in the major area of the student

Capstone project in the major area of the student.

Minors and certificates must be completed in conjunction with a major and all university degree requirements must be met.

Students should consult with an academic advisor to determine how any transfer or exam credit might be utilized in meeting general education, prerequisite, or minor requirements.
