Experiential Learning

Students may choose to explore specific areas of interest by working with faculty on research projects. A 3-credit practicum is required for this program which allows students to select from a variety of sites to gain hands-on experience in the discipline of exercise or nutrition science.

Honors and Awards

Departmental Honors

The department award of program distinction is based on the UB GPA for the program (major GPA). A minimum of 50% of credits for the major program must be completed at UB. The department requires a minimum of 3.200 for “with distinction”; 3.500 for “with high distinction”; and 3.750 for “with highest distinction.”
