Completing the Public Health Minor Program

Transfer Credit Policy

The minor in public health follows general UB policies with respect to transfer credit. Students can review the TAURUS listing of articulated transfer courses to see if a course taken at another institution will count towards a public health minor requirement. If a student has taken a course that is not listed in TAURUS they can contact the Office of Academic and Student Affairs to discuss.

Prerequisite Courses

There are no prerequisite courses for the public health minor.

PUB 101 Introduction to Public Health
One lower-division course (3 cr. minimum; see options below)*
PUB 340 Introduction to Epidemiology
STA 119 Statistical Methods
Two upper-division courses (minimum 6 credit hours total; see options list below)**

any 300-level or 400-level public health (PUB) course numbered 300-370 or 400-470, or one of the following options:
