Visiting Artists Lectures, Workshops, and Speaker Series: The Department of Art invites artists, critics, historians and designers to participate in the Department of Art Speaker Series.
Exhibition Opportunities: Our close relationship to area galleries gives students opportunities to exhibit work throughout their undergraduate careers, culminating in their Senior Thesis Exhibition, the result of a year-long course on the preparation, research, proposal development, installation, and curation of a cohesive body of their work.
Buffalo Metropolitan Area: Buffalo's diverse intellectual and cultural heritage attracts and sustains artists in the visual arts, performance, video/film, theater, poetry, literature, music, and architecture. Buffalo’s diverse grass-roots and alternative spaces dedicated to new and experimental genres complement institutions such as the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
Graphic Design students have the option of a year-long design studio course that enables them to work with local organizations and businesses on client-based design projects. Acceptance is based on GPA and portfolio.
