University Libraries

The University Libraries offer an outstanding array of resources, technologies, services and people to support the academic success of UB undergraduates. Locations on the north and south campuses feature computers, books, media, wireless, print centers and spaces for individual or group study. A 24/7 location is open during fall and spring semesters and the Instant Librarian virtual reference service is open 24/7 to accommodate the schedules of busy students. Library collections are available online and include e-books, media, journals and databases for academic research accessible on- and off-campus.

Expert librarians are available to answer questions and offer research assistance at reference/information desks in the Libraries and by phone, email, chat or appointment. Subject librarians for each UB course, program, department and school offer individual research consultations to students. The Delivery+ service ensures that students get the materials they need, regardless of location or format. The Library Skills Workbook introduces students to library research basics; completion of the Workbook is required for all students during their first year at UB. The Research Tips tutorial provides 24/7 instruction on all aspects of library research.
