Experiential Learning

The program in SSC/Environmental Studies requires practical fieldwork through an internship experience. The course is usually taken in the senior year. In past semesters students have interned at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, the Buffalo Zoo, the Buffalo Botanical Gardens and the Army Corps of Engineers.

Study Abroad

The Social Sciences Interdisciplinary Degree Programs encourage students in any of our six majors to take part in a study abroad experience. Advisors in the program will work with students to review study abroad courses for possible use in the major.
