Upon acceptance into the Biochemistry BS Program in the 2nd semester of the second year, students will be assigned a Biochemistry faculty member as their academic advisor. It is the student’s responsibility to meet each semester with the advisor to discuss required coursework, fulfillment of the research requirement and discussion of career goals.
It is the student’s responsibility to review the Academic Advisement Report each semester and discuss with the advisor successful completion of the degree requirements and timely graduation.
Transfer work will be evaluated by the student’s advisor to determine standing in the program as either an intended or approved student. Transfer work that has not directly articulated to a UB course can be evaluated provided the student supplies transcript and course materials to for the advisor to review. If approved an exception will be processed on the Academic Advisement Report.
