Academic Requirements

To graduate with a BS degree in business administration, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 in upper division (300 and 400 level) management classes, as well as meet the University Degree Requirements. However, students enrolled in the combined BS/MS program must maintain the minimum criteria stated above to continue to the MS courses in the fifth year. To graduate with the MS degree in Finance, students must maintain a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0.

Students entering UB in the spring semester should be aware of possible course sequence obstacles that will necessitate registration in summer school to be on track to enter the MS program in a fall term.

Academic Advice

It is important for students to meet with their academic advisors on a regular basis as well as take advantage of professional development opportunities offered through the School of Management undergraduate and graduate programs office, the career resource center, and student clubs and organizations.

Transfer Credit Policy

Internal and external transfer students may request an individual evaluation to determine qualification for this combined BS/MS program by contacting the Undergraduate Academic Programs Office.

Residency Requirement

Business Administration majors must complete a minimum of 24 credits of upper-division (300 and 400 level) School of Management courses at UB. Students may request individual course reviews of transfer work from other four-year AACSB institutions by submitting course syllabi to the Undergraduate Academic Programs office in 204 Alfiero Center.
