Completing the Law Minor Program

Transfer Credit Policy

The Minor in Law follows the University at Buffalo Transfer Credit Policy.

Prerequisite Courses

Students must complete LAW 101 and either LAW 201 or LAW 202, with a minimum average GPA of 2.5 in those courses, prior to acceptance to the program.

Required Courses

In addition to LAW 101 and either LAW 201 or LAW 202, students must take four of the following courses, as available:

LAW 301: Legal Reasoning
LAW 303: Lawyers and Clients
LAW 305: Introduction to Criminal Law
LAW 306: Family Law
LAW 307: Contract Law
LAW 308: Intellectual Property
LAW 309: Business Organizations and Business Law
LAW 310: Employment Law
LAW 311: Banking and Financial Compliance
LAW 313: Sports Law
LAW 314: Federal Income Tax Law and Policy
LAW 401: American Legal History
LAW 405: Law and Social Change
