The Learning Environment
Philosophy courses include both large introductory-level lectures and smaller lectures on more advanced topics. All courses, whether large or small, incorporate opportunities for class discussion. Remote versions of some introductory-level courses are offered regularly, especially in the summer and winter semesters.

The philosophy department is housed on the first floor of Park Hall. Most philosophy courses are held in centrally-scheduled classrooms and lecture halls near Park Hall on the north campus.
