Laboratory

Introduces students to techniques for representing and simulating sunlight, daylight and radiance within architecture. Course assignments will develop a range of skills including: proficiency in Autodesk Ecotect; lighting photography of physical models; raytrace and radiosity rendering; relief material models; 3D printing; 2D/3D diagraming of lighting performance; `contour map or `false color rendition techniques. Digital media skills introduced will be coordinated with course material from ARC 301: Architecture Design Studio 5.

Requisites: Pre-Requisite: ARC 312LEC and Architecture majors only. Co-Requisite: ARC 301LAB. Students must register for ARC 411LEC and ARC 301LAB concurrently.
