Adolescence is a unique stage of the life course. This course explores social processes and the socialization of children and adolescents, including patterns of parent/teenager/peer relationships, generational succession, and age stratification and the status system, self-identity, adolescent sexuality, and youth subcultures. This course is the same as SSC 335, and course repeat rules will apply. Students should consult with their major department regarding any restrictions on their degree requirements.
